Q. Can anyone get herbal insurance?Coverage applies when diagnosed with an eligible condition at a participating medical institution and the prescription criteria are met. Not all Korean medicine clinics are eligible, so please confirm before your visit. Acro Korean Medicine Clinic is a participating institution.
Q. How much is the copay?Health insurance can be applied for up to 2 conditions per year, with 2 prescriptions of 10 days each per condition. The copay is approximately 40,000–50,000 KRW per 10-day supply (about 30%).
Q. How long does the pilot project last?The Phase 2 pilot project is scheduled until December 2026. After evaluation, it will be decided whether to transition to a full program.
Q. Does insurance cover diet herbal medicine?Diet herbal medicine is not currently covered. Insurance applies only to the 6 designated conditions.
Q. Can insurance be applied to 2 conditions simultaneously?Yes, insurance can be applied to up to 2 conditions per year, with 20 days of 30% co-payment each. Beyond 20 days, additional prescriptions are available at full cost.
